Merry Christmas everyone!

Can you believe the year is over already? As I keep getting older, the years go by faster and faster and I hate it.

I am, however, looking forward to 2010.  It seems like someone put the hex on 2009 and let’s be honest – this year can’t get over early enough.

2010 will be good.

Our first show will be taking place in a matter of weeks and that’s number one on the radar.  After that, time to get some shows booked.  Following that, I need to start recording my own new album.  It’s been too long.  I want to have something ready for summer, but we’ll see.  Solo projects usually take 8-9 months with all the work that goes into playing, recording, editing, mixing, mastering, and LIVING.

I want you all to have a great day tomorrow with your friends and family.  Be safe, eat a lot of food, stay warm, and keep tuned in.  Things are going to start kicking up here before you know it!

We did another air test today.  It went very well.  We’re getting new ideas on the format and kinda taking it all in as we edge closer to air date, which is still yet to be determined.

It will be in January, but I’m thinking more towards the middle of the month so we can get over the downer of the holidays ending and get our asses back in gear for the new year.  I wish December was a good 6 weeks long and we all had 3 of those weeks off.  It certainly would be nice.

Sad news in Hollywood…RIP Britney Murphy.  Strange year it has been for people passing away.  It’s really the only good reason to put this one in the books already.  The year almost seems cursed.

Anyhow, we’ll be keeping you posted as we move closer to January.  We will probably do another air test show as we get more submissions and will probably be visiting some local shows the last week of the month.  Hopefully we’ll run into some of you so you can talk with us and give us your thoughts about the local music scene.

Ryan and I went over some music submissions this evening.  They’re sounding great.  We need more for our future shows.  If you have a band, know a band, or just want to get on the show (yeah, we’re gonna be talking to music FANS too) be sure to get in touch.

We’re well into the holiday season.  Hopefully you have all had a chance to get your shopping started and have taken the time to listen to the new 2009 Christmas single.

Hey all.

Hope everything is going well and that you’re getting ready to have a great Thanksgiving tomorrow.

Today Ryan and I did our first test show and it came out really well.  We’re always tweaking the finer points (dead air, the sound of two guys being comfortable on mic together, roaming too far off topic, etc.), but I think we really nailed it today.  This broadcast might be made available as a bonus audio download at some point to remember where we were when…

Enough with the nostalgia trip.

Here is some big news:  THE 2009 CHRISTMAS SINGLE IS ALMOST FINISHED.

This will be the third year I have released one (for free always and forever) and it’s just a good time for all involved.  This year I have chosen to feature my trombone playing friend from the Chicago area, Andy Alton.  He takes a couple trombone breaks in the middle of the song and it’s gonna sound real hip.  As soon as it’s ready it will be here for listening and I’ll figure out a way for you all to download it.

Anyway.  Have a great Thanksgiving and get that music in!  We have some great new artists that we’re in touch with and we’re ALWAYS accepting new music.  The only rule is that it has to be from the Boston area.  Get in touch with us!

It’s here.  The thing didn’t cost an arm and a leg and I figured that the audio quality would have me wanting to gnaw off my leg because I didn’t spend the money for something of decent value.  I couldn’t be happier.  The Zoom H2 is a wonderful little contraption that is perfect for what we’re gonna be using it for.  I’m not going to be recording music with this thing.  We’re just going to go out and talk with all of you on-line at shows about what is going on in your musical universe and for that, I couldn’t ask for anything more.

And on another note, a special thanks goes out to all of those that have helped us remain a free society and to those of you – rest in peace – who have succumbed in battle in trying to keep this a free society.  Thank you men and women of the armed services for your bravery.  We can’t even begin to say how much we appreciate all your hard work.  Thank you.
